What? One of the largest and most famous food markets in London. Please don’t bother eating before coming here, it is an absolute delight tasting the different local food produces. From falafel to paella, from fishburgers to brownies: Borough Market serves the whole food spectrum.
Looks? Borough Market has a very cosy feel to it, although on Friday and Saturday it can get a bit too crowdy. There is always a crowd at the Monmouth Coffee Bar close to Borough Market. Even after 35 years, the Monmouth Coffee Company is known for serving London’s best cup of coffee.
What else? Don’t get persuaded by bold statements about dishes winning awards. In London even the best pickle can get a price. So just depend on your own nose and tastebuds. They will hardly let you down.
Info? Mon and Tue a limited market from 10am to 5pm, Wed en Thu full market from 10am to 5pm, Fri full market from 10am to 6pm, Sat full market from 8am to 5pm, closed on Sunday.
