What? ‘Come home to Music’. That’s the baseline at Spiritland. This cosy bar in King’s Cross is all about experiencing music at its best. After slow coffee and slow food it is time to introduce the phenomenon of slow listening: finally taking time to listen to some music again, to enjoy it and to get lost in it. That can all happen in the good companionship of a delightful breakfast (toasted banana bread!), a relaxing cup of tea (how does Problem Solving Tea sound?), a salad, sandwich, coffee or cocktail.
Looks? The perforated wood panels, the elaborate record collections and soft green seats give this place the look and feel of a genuine radio studio. There actually is a radio studio located in the bar: the Spiritland Sound Studio, where DJ’s and musicians from all over the world come to make music productions. Showstopper at Spiritland is of course the state-of-the-art music installation that provides music in all kinds of different styles. Check the Spiritland website for theme nights, performances and quizzes.
What Else? Even if you are not a music connoisseur, one can easily enjoy the relaxed ambiance and good music. But for music freaks Spiritland is notting less than a walhalla, where you can get lost in music as well as in buying some CD’s or vinyl, headphones and exceptional radio equipment.
