What? Mix the best Japan has to offer (sushi!) and the best South-America has to offer (samba!) and you end up with an interesting gastronomy that combines exotic herbs with southern cocktails and refined Asian flavours. My personal favourites at Sushi Samba are the tempura of green beans with black truffle aïoli and the wagyu beef gyoza. And the sushi of course.
Looks? Sushi Samba is located only one floor down from Duck & Waffle, on the 39th floor of the Heron Tower. The view is nothing less than spectacular. In summer I would recommend to get a table on the terrace. On the one condition that you do not suffer from vertigo, that is.
What else? Fans of Sex & The City might remember Sushi Samba as the New York restaurant where Samantha uttered the legendary phrase ‘Dirty Martini, Dirty Bastard’. Followed by a glass of Martini thrown right in the face of her male companion.
Info? Wed to Sat open from 11.30am to 2am, Sun, Mon and Tue from 11.30am to 1.30am
